K’Chevere are one of the UK’s finest Latin bands. Originally formed to perform at an open-air concert for the Bath Fringe Festival 2000, the line-up has since increased from a 5-piece to 9-piece and the band have performed with guest Latin artists at multiple venues and events across the UK. The band includes some of the best session musicians in the South West who play Afro Cuban sounds from the original Latin tracks. The repertoire is strongly influenced by the music and rhythms of Cuba, as well as Venezuela and other parts of Latin America. 
Artists including Tito Puente, Patato Valdés, Buena Vista Social Club and Eddie Palmieri, have influenced the band’s mix of Cuban classics with their own original compositions, that combine Afro-Cuban dance rhythms such as Son, Danzón and Cha-Cha-Cha with a blend of Latin Jazz and Salsa. The phrase K’Chevere (“Que chevere” in Spanish) is generally usage in Latin America to describe good feelings, positive feedback or anything good, which is exactly how the audience is likely to feel during and after one of these performances!
