The Kris Nock Big Band is one of the South West’s freshest new big bands sounds. The 18 piece big band has won multiple awards including Gold award at the Indoor Music Games and multiple Platinum awards at the National Concert Band Festival. The Kris Nock Big Band is committed to pioneering the next era of jazz and big band music by breaking boundaries, concepts and expectations to sustain and grow the genre to a wider audience.

Kris Nock is the Musical Director of the Kris Nock Big Band. Kris has over 20 years experience as a trumpet player and completed his BA(Hons) in Music at Bath Spa University and Montana State University Billings in the United States. Kris has toured nationally and internationally, and has performed with and for artists including Wayne Bergeron (Gordon Goodwins Big Phat Band), Ron Blake (Greenday), Karl Jenkins (composer), Will Todd (composer) and Louis Dowdeswell. Kris is also a music educator, teaching private brass lessons, and has previously worked with drum corps and marching bands.
