Special guest US guitarist John Stowell joins Wales based James Chadwick for an evening of intimate, first class jazz. The duo draw upon the sounds of the Great American Songbook and include some of John’s own unique arrangements. His original take on harmony, chords and improvisation really sets him apart.

John is noted for his historic 1983 performances in the Soviet Union. This was the first time in forty years that an American jazz group had been invited to play public performances in Russia. In 1993, 1995, 1998 and 2012 John returned to Russia, playing in numerous cities. His two sold-out performances in Kursk may have been the first appearances there by an American jazz musician. It was a turning point.
Especially for all the jazz guitarists out there – John plays a signature Soulezza headless guitar. These unique instruments are handcrafted in Spain, and are shipped worldwide to some of the major guitarists on the jazz scene. This is similar instrument to the ‘John Abercrombie Signature’ model
