Simon Spillett say "HEADING WEST...…. Then, on Saturday evening (13th) my quartet featuring Liam Dunachie, Alec Dankworth and Pete Cater headlines this year's Brecon Jazz Festival with a performance at the Guildhall in the town centre. We start at 8pm.
It'll be especially good to return to Brecon as I haven't played there since (I think) 2009. I have a lot of happy memories of various gigs at the festival over the years, with my quartet, a quintet with the late Vic Ash and a one-off big band featuring Peter King and Alan Barnes.
To play a headlining concert with my own band certainly feels like a bit of a milestone.
