1. Throughout July & August @ Theatr Gallery (2nd floor): Brecon Jazz Exhibition – 40 years of the Jazz Festival

Let the graphics of ‘Brecon Jazz’ from 1984 take you through forty amazing years with this display of poster art from the Jazz Club (Brecon Jazz) festival archive.

2. Sun 13th Aug @ 4pm Faith i Branko & Friends – Roma/Balkans Jazz Concert-DETAILS HERE

Join us for a passionate, breathtaking Sebian-Romani world jazz experience with Welsh & Galician guests completing the lineup. Leading Serbian Romani violinist Branko Ristic and accordionist Faith Ristic are joined by Wales based leading swing violinist Xenia Porteus, and  guitarist Iago Banet.

3. Sun 13th Aug @ 7.15pm The Festival Big Band featuring LaVon Hardison & Guests

Members of the Monmouth 19-piece jazz orchestra return to Brecon to provide backing for stunning US based vocalist LaVon Hardison. The big band is directed by renowned Welsh jazz trombonist and composer Gareth Roberts. Expect outstanding swinging arrangements from this unique collaboration. Not to be missed.

4. Sun 20th Aug @ 4pm  Julieta Iglesias Tango Trio – DETAILS HERE

Julieta Iglesias is a remarkable Argentine pianist and arranger. In promoting her tango/jazz repertoire, Julietta toured the USA with her trio, the ‘Baires Connection’ in 2022, endorsed by the Astor Piazzolla Foundation.

5. Sun 20th Aug @ 7pm Brecon Jazz: Zoe Rahman Octet

Zoe Rahman is one of the brightest stars on the contemporary jazz scene. Known for her powerful technique, wide-ranging imagination and exuberant performance, she is a highly sought-after musician on the international jazz scene.

LINEUP: Zoe Rahman (piano), Rowlans Sutherland (flute & alto flute),  Tori Freestone (tenor sax), Helena Kay (alto sax),  Alex Ridout (trumpet), Rosie Turton (trombone), Alec Dankworth (bass), Gene Calderazzo (drums)

6.  Sun 20th Aug @ 8.30pm Terence Collie & Zoë Gilby play Monk  (London – Livestream)
