Trailblazing cellist and composer Shirley Smart is a dazzling performer whose work crosses genres but is always innovative and thrilling. After studying in London and Paris, Shirley worked in the Middle East, performing and teaching with musicians and students from both Israel and Palestine.
Her music is inclusive and celebratory, collaborative and rich. She also appears in this unique event for Brecon Jazz & Women’s Festival with two of her regular contributors –
